The most common question is CR Pro+ or CR Max P. Both are bi-directional. The CR Pro+ is a handheld with buttons and a cable, and it is enough for anyone working on their own cars. The CR Max P is a tablet with a Bluetooth VCI, codes control units across eight manufacturer groups and connects over DoIP on the cars that need it. We compare them in CR Pro+ vs CR Max P.

The second is whether to go for the VAWS V2.0 or the CR Pro. If you only have Volkswagen Group cars, the VAWS does the same job for €85 less. As soon as a car from another make turns up, get the CR Pro.

Which is the best seller for home use?

Among home mechanics, the CR Pro if you have cars of several makes and the VAWS V2.0 if they are all Volkswagen Group cars.

Why does the CR Max P sell more than the CR Max?

Because of the built-in DoIP and the 10" screen. Many cars from recent years need DoIP, and on the CR Max it is a separate accessory.

Is the CR Ultra P for a home user?

Usually not. It is designed for garages that program control units. For servicing at home, a CR Pro or CR Pro+ is more than enough.
