The FAP on PSA diesels

On Peugeot and Citroën the particulate filter is called the FAP, and on many HDi and BlueHDi engines it works with an additive. If the car does a lot of town driving, the filter clogs up and the warning comes on. With the FR V2.0 you can force a regeneration through the OBD2 socket. Why there is no CP V2.0

iCarsoft no longer makes a PSA-only tool. The FR V2.0 brings together the French and Italian makes that used to have separate tools. That works in your favour: with a 308 and a Clio at home, or a C4 and a Tipo, one tool is enough.

When the CP V1.0 will do

The CP V1.0 reads and clears faults on the engine, gearbox, ABS, airbag and other modules, and does the service reset and steering angle. If your car is petrol, has no electronic parking brake and you just want to know what the fault is, it does the job. For a diesel with a FAP, get the FR V2.0.

Frequently asked questions

Can I regenerate the FAP on my Peugeot BlueHDi?

Yes, with the FR V2.0. The CP V1.0 doesn't have that function.

Is there a CP V2.0?

No. The FR V2.0 is iCarsoft's current tool for Peugeot, Citroën and DS, together with Renault, Dacia and the Italian makes.
