Astra, Corsa, Insignia, Zafira: the CDTI DPF

On diesel Opels and Vauxhalls, the most common warning is the particulate filter. A CDTI that only does short journeys never gets to regenerate on its own and ends up asking for help. The OP V2.0 forces a regeneration through the OBD2 socket and also codes new injectors.

If you had an OP II

The OP II is no longer made. Many people used it for the electronic parking brake, and this is where you need to be careful: the OP V1.0 doesn't have it. The tool that does everything the OP II did, and quite a lot more, is the OP V2.0.

What they don't do

The OP V1.0 doesn't calibrate the CIM steering column sensor or adapt the Easytronic automated gearbox. And on some models the OP V2.0 gets into the ABS but not the stability control. If you need any of that, send us your VIN before ordering.

Opels from the Stellantis era

The latest Opels share platforms with Peugeot and Citroën, but each brand has its own software. If you have a Corsa and a 208 at home, rather than two single-brand tools you are better off with a multi-brand scanner such as the CR Pro, which covers both.
