MT PRO description
The iCarsoft MT PRO is a motorcycle diagnostic tablet that reads every system on 106 makes, sub-brands included, with more than 100 software packages. It's bi-directional, has interactive wiring diagrams and comes with 22 connector adapters in the case. It costs €749.95.
The trouble with diagnosing bikes
Every manufacturer has its own connector, and on many models the socket hides under the seat or behind a fairing panel. A car scanner can't reach it, and a generic code reader shows you the engine at best. The MT PRO ships with adapters for Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, KTM, BMW, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, MV Agusta, Benelli, Polaris, Indian, SYM and KYMCO, among others, plus the OBDII lead. No more buying cables bike by bike.
What you can do in the workshop
Read and clear faults on the engine, ABS, dash, switchgear, suspension, traction control, exhaust valve and the rest of the electrics. View live data and freeze frame. Run active tests: switch on the fuel pump, a relay or a valve and check it responds without taking anything apart.
It has five bike-specific service functions: oil service reset, electronic throttle learning, ABS bleeding, electronic suspension (ESA) setting and idle adjustment. Then there are the interactive wiring diagrams, which mechanics rate highest of all: you trace a circuit on screen instead of wrestling with a PDF.
Hardware and updates
7" 1024×600 touchscreen, Android, quad-core 1.3 GHz, 64 GB and a 5000 mAh battery good for about 5 hours. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB. It arrives with the software installed and 3 years of Wi-Fi updates included. After that, renewing is optional and there are no automatic charges. It supports a videoscope and battery clamps, sold separately.
Do you work on cars too?
The MT PRO won't do cars: the software is motorcycle-only. On the outside it looks like the CR Max, which is the equivalent tablet for cars. Workshops that do both usually keep one of each. More tools in workshop diagnostic tools.
