FA V2.0 description
The iCarsoft FA V2.0 is a diagnostic tool for Fiat only. As well as reading faults, it opens the electronic parking brake, regenerates the DPF and registers the battery. It costs €194.95.
What it does on a Fiat
It reads and clears engine codes and, on compatible models, ABS and airbag codes. For servicing it handles five jobs: opening and closing the electronic parking brake for pad changes, forcing a particulate filter regeneration on MultiJet engines, registering a new battery, calibrating the steering angle sensor and adapting the electronic throttle after cleaning or replacing the throttle body.
Worth knowing first
The service reminder reset only works on a handful of Fiat models. If your main aim is to clear the service light after an oil change, don't count on it for that and ask us about your model.
It doesn't cover Alfa Romeo either. And it belongs to a generation iCarsoft no longer makes: Fiat coverage has moved to the FR V2.0. We'll keep selling it while stock lasts.
For the same price, the FR V2.0
The FR V2.0 costs the same and covers Fiat, Abarth, Lancia and Alfa Romeo alongside the French makes. It reads every system, has 9 service functions, oil reset included, and updates free for life. If you have a Fiat and another French or Italian car at home, that's the one we recommend. The FA V1.0 is the budget option for reading faults on Fiat and Alfa Romeo.
It connects through the 16-pin OBD2 port using CAN, ISO 9141, KWP2000 and SAE J1850. Updates are downloaded online from the iCarsoft website using the cable and SD adapter in the box.
