US V2.0 description
The iCarsoft US V2.0 reads every system on Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, GM and Holden vehicles from 1996 to 2025 and carries out 9 service functions. It costs €194.95.
It works on European Fords
Don't be put off by the name: for Ford it carries the European software as well as the US and Australian versions. It works on a Focus, Kuga, Fiesta or Transit bought here, not just on imports. And the same tool covers Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge and GM. It's the obvious choice if there's a Ford and a Jeep on the drive, or if your garage sees American cars.
What the US V2.0 does
It reads and clears faults on the engine, transmission, ABS, airbag and every other module, with live and freeze frame data to catch an intermittent fault. For servicing: oil reset, electronic parking brake for pad changes, DPF regeneration and injector coding on diesels, battery registration, steering angle, ABS bleeding, throttle and TPMS.
It speaks CAN-FD, used by GM and Chrysler from 2020 onwards, as well as standard OBDII/EOBD from 1996. It identifies the car from the VIN.
Its limits, before you buy
It isn't bi-directional. Actuator tests are on the US V3.0. It doesn't code control units either.
Compared with the FD V1.0 and BCC V1.0
The FD V1.0 is the simple Ford tool and the BCC V1.0 is the one for Chrysler, Jeep and GM. Both cost €60 less and will read faults and reset the service light, but neither handles the parking brake, DPF or battery. The US V2.0 brings both sets of makes together with a 4" screen and all nine functions. We compare them in V1 vs V2.
