JP V2.0 description
The iCarsoft JP V2.0 is a diagnostic tool for 16 Japanese and Korean makes, from 1996 to 2025. It reads every system and has 9 service functions on Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru and Suzuki, plus Hyundai and Kia. It costs €194.95.
It's called JP, but it does Korean cars too
That's the question we get most. The JP V2.0 includes Hyundai, Kia and Daewoo, which makes it the most complete option we have for a Tucson, Sportage or Ceed. The KR tools for Hyundai and Kia only read faults and reset the service light, whereas this one also opens the electronic parking brake, regenerates the DPF and registers the battery.
The full list: Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Honda, Acura, Nissan, Nissan GT-R, Infiniti, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Suzuki, Isuzu, Hyundai, Kia and Daewoo.
The nine functions
Oil service reset, electronic parking brake and pad reset, particulate filter regeneration, injector coding, steering angle calibration, ABS bleeding, throttle learning, battery registration and TPMS reset. It also reads and clears faults on every control unit and shows live data. It recognises the car from the VIN.
Hybrids
Japanese makes sell a lot of hybrids, and which functions are available varies quite a bit from model to model. If yours is a hybrid, send us the VIN and ask first.
Compared with tools for one or two makes
The TYT V1.0 (Toyota and Lexus), NS V1.0 (Nissan, Infiniti and Subaru) and MHM V1.0 (Mitsubishi, Honda and Mazda) cost €60 less and will read faults and clear the service reminder. The JP V2.0 brings all those makes together in one tool, with a 4" screen and the servicing functions today's cars need. It doesn't run active tests.
