NS V1.0 description
The iCarsoft NS V1.0 brings three Japanese makes together in one tool: Nissan, Infiniti and Subaru. It reads and clears engine, transmission, ABS and airbag faults, shows sensor readings and resets the service interval. It costs €134.95.
What you can do with the NS V1.0
It diagnoses the engine and transmission and clears their codes. It gets into the ABS and airbag, which a generic OBD2 reader can't see. Real-time sensor readings let you check whether a value is out of range before you replace anything, and after the repair you can scan again to make sure the code doesn't return. At service time, it resets the maintenance reminder.
If a P0300 shows up on a Qashqai or a Forester, P0300 code: engine misfire explains what it means and where to start.
Cars compatible with the NS V1.0
Nissan, Infiniti and Subaru passenger cars through OBD2. The starting year varies by model, so tell us yours before you buy and we'll check. Menus in English, among other languages, and the first year of updates is free.
Its limits, before you buy
It doesn't open the electronic parking brake, regenerate the DPF or register batteries.
If you want more functions: JP V2.0
The JP V2.0 covers Nissan, Nissan GT-R, Infiniti and Subaru alongside twelve other Japanese and Korean makes, with a 4" screen and nine service functions. If there's a Nissan and a Toyota at home, or a Subaru and a Kia, it covers them all. The NS V1.0 makes sense if you only want to read faults on these three makes. For Toyota there's the TYT V1.0, and for Honda and Mazda the MHM V1.0.
